Breeding animals ensures your animals don’t all die from old age and can also increase the number of items they produce.
However, you might notice that your animals don’t breed that often.
In this survival guide, we’ll go over how to breed animals in Medieval Dynasty to keep your farms running productively.
Prerequisites To Breeding Animals
There are a few prerequisites you need to have before your animals start to breed.
The first is to have a male and female animal in the shelter.
They have to be in the same shelter.
You don’t need food or a worker assigned to the shelter to make them breed.
They’ll breed on their own provided there is an adult male and an adult female in the building.
You only need food and a worker if you want them to produce foods at a large scale.
Breeding Chances And Improving Them
All animals have a 15% chance of breeding and producing a baby per male in the building.
This means that if you have only one male in the building, then you only have a 15% chance of them producing a baby the following season.
All animals reproduce with the change of the season.
They don’t reproduce each day.
The exception when it comes to breeding chances are horses and donkeys.
They both have a 20% chance of breeding at the start of a new season per male.
As such, if you want to increase the breeding chances of your animals, then you need to increase the number of males in your shelter.
Having two males pigs, for example, increases the breeding chance to 30% instead of 15%.
