Workers won’t just start producing goods for you once they join your village.
They require a few instructions to get working.
In this survival guide, we’ll cover the process you need to follow to get your workers producing goods in Medieval Dynasty.
1. Invite A Villager To Your Village
The first step is to actually find the villager that you need.
Villagers have several skills.
If you’re looking for a particular worker, then you need to know the skill they need to perform that job.
Not everyone is a perfect fit for each job, and some might even become unhappy if you place them in the wrong job.
As such, when scouting for possible workers, it helps to know what you’re on the hunt for.
You can find villagers willing to join you in the other villages scattered across the map.
They’re identifiable by the white person over their heads.
Simply ask them about their skills, and they’ll give you a description of the type of work that they enjoy doing.
Those who talk about loving hard work, but don’t mention farming, are great for extraction jobs, for example.
It’s also worth asking about what they don’t like to do so you don’t put them in a position they hate.
You need a certain amount of Dynasty Reputation to invite villagers to your village.
You can increase your Reputation by completing quests for people and by making progress through the game’s Chapters and Main Story.
2. Assign Villagers To A Home And Production Building
Once you have the appropriate villager, it’s time to assign them to a home and production building.
You should build a home before recruiting villagers.
If a villager doesn’t have a home immediately, then their mood will drop.
They might even end up leaving your village before you can finish a home for them.
As such, it’s a good idea to have a house ready for them at the start.
You can then assign them to a home by going to your Management tab, clicking Houses, choosing an empty slot, and then choosing the worker’s name.
This is the same process you’ll use to assign the worker to a production building.
Find the production building in the Management tab, click the empty slot, click the appropriate worker.
The worker is assigned to the building, but they won’t start producing anything just yet.
3. Choose Production
There’s one more major step you need to take to get your villagers working.
In the Management tab, you need to click on the production building.
When the menu switches to the right side, as if you were going to assign a villager, you’ll see icons at the top of the menu.
Click the icon that resembles a hammer.
It will take you to a list of production lines that the building can produce.
You need to tell the worker what good you want them to produce and how much they need to focus on it.
You can have them split their attention across different production lines or focus solely on one to maximize its production.
4. Give The Worker The Tools They Need
The final step is to make sure that the worker has the tools or ingredients they need to produce what you want them to produce.
The Hunting Cabin, for example, needs a knife.
Without a knife, your hunters can’t hunt.
Once they have a knife, they can start to hunt.
You can see what each production building needs by reading its description in the Management tab.
Keep in mind that some production lines use 2 durability on tools while others only use 1.
You may need to make a few tools to get the worker to work through the day.
