It isn’t easy finding a place to settle down in Wild West Dynasty.
Most of the landscape is uneven and rocky, so the foundations for your house and buildings don’t always go down.
In this survival guide, we’ll be showing you the best four locations where you might want to start building your city.
1. Northeast of Taxation

If you want a lot of flat land and don’t mind living near some buffalo, then this is the location for you.
Simply head Northeast of Taxation until you come across a large, flat, plain of wild grass.
It’s situated close to a river and the edge of the map.
This area has a ton of flat land which makes building here a lot easier.
It’s also close to some wood production nodes, so you can have an easy time handling and managing those areas.
For good or ill, you’re also close to a buffalo spawn.
It could provide a good source of meat for you and your residents.
Now, there are a few problems with this location.
It isn’t close to a stone or iron mine, for example, so you’re going to need to travel to set those up initially.
It’s also not close to the city of Hope where a good portion of the story is likely to occur.
If you don’t mind the travel, then be sure to head to this location and get your city started.
2. South Of Roger’s Farm

Heading into the southern part of the map, you’ll find some problems.
It’s basically a desert with steep canons.
Wood is hard to come by, and so is regular stone.
The good news is that there’s a few production nodes here like stone, iron, and a few wood locations, too.
The canyons and hills, however, make it difficult to find ideal locations for a city.
Head South of Roger’s Farm until you come to the location where the arrow in the picture is pointing.
You’ll find a rather large section of land that’s flat and easy to build on.
It’s close to both a stone node and an iron node.
There’s also a wood node that isn’t too far away either.
The problem with this area is that there are two spawn locations within it for wild animals.
Foxes and boars, for example, might surprise you and even kill you before you can defend yourself.
As such, if you want to make this area your new home, be ready to fight or dodge them.
3. South Of Hope

Heading south of Hope will take you to the third city location.
This is another area that has a lot of flat land and is relatively close to some stone and iron resource nodes.
It’s also very close to Hope, so you can have an easier time trading in the city.
That said, this area might also be dangerous should bandits come out of the city to attack you.
There are also some wild animal spawns in the area, too, that might be a hassle.
4. East of Hope

The final city location is just east and a little north of Hope.
It’s an expansive area with even some room below to further expand on.
You also have an iron production node right in your backyard.
It’s also relatively close to an area that spawns clay and the city of Hope.
The major problem with this location is its spawn.
There is a wolf that spawns in the location, and they are quite aggressive.
You’ll have to contend with him until you manage to destroy his spawner by building on it.
Conclusion
Because of the rocky, hilly, landscape, it can be difficult to find a large area in which to build your city in Wild West Dynasty.
These four locations provide plenty of room to grow with a few benefits, too.
