The building mechanic in Wild West Dynasty isn’t exactly straightforward.

It requires a few steps and can feel a bit glitchy, too.

In this survival guide, we’ll be covering the steps needed to build your first house in Wild West Dynasty.

1. Build A Hammer

You won’t be able to build anything without a hammer.

To do so, you’ll need to press the ‘I’ key on your keyboard to bring up the crafting menu.

You’ll need to navigate to the Tools section, then click on the hammer.

You only need one stone and one stick to build the hammer.

After you’ve crafted it, you’ll need to hit the Tab key to bring up your inventory and move the hammer into a hotbar space.

2. Build The House’s Foundation

With your hammer equipped, you’re able to press the “B” button to access the building crafting menu.

You’ll then need to select the “City” option and then the “Floor.”

You’ll have a few options here based on the foundation sizes you have unlocked so far.

Choose the one you have unlocked or that you want, and then find a place to set it down.

The foundation will turn green in areas where you can build.

The foundation will require two logs and one stone to build.

Once you have a spot where you want to build it, just left-click on your mouse.

3. Building The House

Now, here’s the thing with building houses in Wild West Dynasty at this moment.

Some of the buttons don’t work.

As such, with your hammer equipped, you’re going to need to use the Middle-Mouse button to scroll through the different, available, blueprints to create the walls.

Anything that turns green is a blueprint you can craft.

You’re able to choose different blueprint variations from solid walls to some windows to a door.

When you have the blueprint you want, just left-click on the space, and the character will put a frame down.

Once all the frames are down, you’re going to need a mixed number of logs and sticks to build them.

The same goes for building the roof.

After you’ve filled in each space, including the roof, the house is finished and ready for habitation.

4. Building Furniture For Your Home

You’ve built your home, and now it’s time to decorate it.

If you want to sleep in a bed, for example, then you can build one inside your home and set it down.

To do so, you’re going to need to enter the home first.

Hit the “I” key to bring up the crafting menu and go to the Furniture section.

You’ll see a few blueprints that you can and can’t craft.

Click the bed and craft it.

Then equip the hammer again to put it down.

When you press “B” to enter the building menu, you’ll see a new menu pop up with the different types of furniture or decorations that you can build.

Simply click the item you want to put down, and it should show up there since you crafted it earlier.

You can then put it down where you want it in the home.

Conclusion

Building in Wild West Dynasty is a bit rough and will likely undergo a few changes over the course of the game’s development.

For now, just using the hammer, middle-mouse button, and left-clicking will get you the results you need.
