Completing some side quests in Wild West Dynasty can grant you some free items.

Jedidiah Walker, for example, will give you a free bow and some arrows if you hunt some deer for him.

Speak To Jedidiah Walker

In order to pick up the quest, and get your free bow and arrows, you need to speak to Jedidiah Walker.

He’ll ask you to find some deer meat for him, then hand you a bow and arrows.

Equipped, you’re then able to find some deer for him.

You can also simply never complete the quest at this point, since you receive the free bow and arrows immediately.

Locate the Deer

Finding the deer is pretty easy.

For one, you can follow the marker on your header right to their location.

Otherwise, you’re going to head north of Taxation to a bit of woods.

Head to the right of the woods and you’ll find a herd of deer grazing.

All you need to do is take one down and recover its meat to satisfy the quest.

Keep in mind that the character does mention running into wolves when he speaks to Jedidiah later.

The developers might put in some wolves in a future update, in which case watch out, or the character may just be elaborating his tale.

Return To Jedidiah With The Deer Meat

With the meat in hand, head back to Jedidiah in Taxation.

You’ll complete the quest and also have the small hare trap recipe unlocked.

That recipe technically gets unlocked earlier in the game, but since the developers might eventually replace that recipe with another one, it’s not a bad idea to complete the quest all the same.
