Follow The ‘Friend in Need’ Quest

The ‘Friend in Need’ quest has quite a few recipes that you can unlock as you proceed through it.

After you pick up your free horse, you’re going to need head back to the stranger outside of Taxation.

He’ll be pretty surprised to see you alive after sending you to the wolves.

You have a few dialogue options that determine what happens with the treasure.

More importantly, once you leave the dialogue with the stranger, you’ll see that the trapper knife recipe will get unlocked.

With the recipe unlocked, you can now craft the trapper knife and have a slightly better weapon than the basic knife.
