Taming is a vital part of Smalland: Survive the Wilds since it can help you safely navigate the Wilds.

For the longest time, however, you were only able to tame one creature.

With its latest update, the devs behind Smalland: Survive the Wilds has finally allowed players to tame as many creatures as they want.

You Can Grow A Hoard of Ladybugs

If you want to collect all the ladybugs in the land and keep them safe, then you can finally do just that.

With the recent Patch 5 update, you can now tame as many creatures as you want.

The downside is that you can only have one tame active at a time.

So, even if you have 100 ladybugs, only one of them can be your active tame.

If you want to activate another, then you’re going to have to go to that creature to activate it.

This is likely a way that the devs are trying to keep the game balanced.

You’re also able to name your tame, so all of your new friends can actually have an identity.

When someone inevitably dies, you can mourn them properly.

Besides taming, the devs also added a parrying attack.

When you block at just the right moment when something tries to hit you, you can parry them instead.

This results in a brief stun.

Building is a bit easier, too, now that the devs have created transparent walls.

When building on the Great Tree, you’ll see a shimmering wall that indicates the building border.

Now, you no longer have to worry about building rooms that are inaccessible!

Finally, they also brought in multi-loot drops on bosses.

Instead of everyone having to fight the boss one-by-one, the boss drops as much loot as there are players in the world.

For example, if there are four players in the world, then the boss will drop four loot items.

This can help you save time as you only need to fight the boss once for everyone to receive the item they need.

Clearly, taming in Smalland has become far more rewarding after this update.
