The shotgun rail isn’t conveniently next to the shotgun, so it’s going to take some searching to find it.

In this survival guide, we’ll show you where to head to find the shotgun rail and the location of the machete in Sons of the Forest.

Shotgun Rail Location in Sons of the Forest

Your journey begins near the Rebreather cave location.

We recently wrote a walkthrough on how to find the Rebreather in its cave.

If you haven’t found the Rebreather cave yet, then you’re going to need to head to the Northern beach.

The location of the shotgun rail and machete is on a beach about at the center of the map.

Head North and reach the center portion of the map.

There’s also a spawn location nearby, so there’s a good chance you’re already close to the location.

You’ll know you’re in the right area when you find a collection of deflated rafts, medical beds, and tents on the beach.

You’ll find the shotgun rail in the hand of a dead operative near the tents.

Pick it up, and you’ll have yourself the shotgun rail.

Machete Location in Sons of the Forest

You’ll find the machete in the same exact location as the shotgun rail.

Head back to the deflated rafts.

You’ll notice a machete sticking out of one of the rafts.

Pick it up and you have yourself a new melee weapon.
