No Wild West story is complete without a farm.

Although the farming mechanic isn’t complete in Wild West Dynasty just yet, you might want to start putting down fields and preparing for the update.

In this survival guide, we’ll show you how to get started building your farm in Wild West Dynasty.

Before you can make a field, you need to have the technology unlocked.

Head into the Management tab in the game and click on the icon with an ear of corn.

This will take you to the farming tree where there are several different nodes to unlock.

You want the node right at the beginning as it unlocks the first, basic, field.

There are other sized fields you can unlock, too, but they require more technology points.

Unlocking the first node also allows you to build the well.

Once you have the node unlocked, you’re going to need to make a hoe.

Press the “I” key, then head to the Tools section where you should find the hoe.

With your main tool made, it’s time to collect some resources.

Fertilizing your fields is going to be an important part of farming.

Eventually, your own animals will produce dung that you can use to make fertilizer.

Until that update lands, however, you’re going to need to head to Taxation.

You’ll find dung among the cows in the cow pen.

Gather as much as you need, then head to your city.

To turn the dung into fertilizer, you’re going to need a Tinkerer’s table.

Thankfully, the table is one of the first things you can unlock by following the Chapter quests in the game.

Click on the table, then look for fertilizer.

You only need one unit of dung to make one unit of fertilizer.

With your fertilizer, you’re now ready to make the field.

Head to the area where you want to make your farm.

Then equip the hoe and press the “B” key to bring up the build menu.

You’ll see all your field size options.

Click one, and you’ll see stakes on the ground indicating the size and shape of the field.

Click when you like where it is, then use your hoe to grub the field.

At this point, you’ll need to fertilize it.

Simply keep the fertilizer in your inventory, and click on the field again.

You’ll now be ready to plant your seeds.

Since the season update hasn’t hit, you’re only able to plant flowers at this point.

Eventually, crops will take a season to grow.

While the farming system has a long way to go in Wild West Dynasty, you can at least be ready for it by having your fields down and ready to go.
