Unlock the Crop Dryer in the Farming Tree

To make seeds from your crops, you’re going to need the crop dryer.

The crop dryer takes a fully grown crop and turns it into a seed.

To make the dryer, you’re going to need to unlock it in the technology tree.

Navigate to the Farming Tree, and you’ll see the crop dryer on the top branch.

The crop dryer, itself, is on the node in the middle.

You’ll need six tech points to unlock it.

Build the Crop Dryer

Once you unlock the technology, you’re able to build the crop dryer.

You’ll find it by equipping your hammer.

Click “B” to get to the Building Menu.

Then navigate to “City” and “Ranch.”

You’ll find a number of different structures here including the crop dryer.

Click on that, and the blueprint will appear.

You’ll need eight logs and 12 planks to make the crop dryer.

Hammer the resources in place, and it will finish.

How To Use the Crop Dryer

With your dryer ready to use, you’re going to need some crops.

You can also flowers and turn them into seeds.

Interact with the dryer, and you’ll see an interface pop up.

Simply put the crop in the top diamond.

Time will pass, and then the seed will appear in the bottom diamond.

It doesn’t take too long for the crop to turn into a seed.

Take out the seed when you want and start planting.
