To increase your Dynasty Legend, you’re going to need to help people around the Valley.
One person to help is a young hunter with a tough mentor.
In this survival guide, we’ll show you how to complete this quest and determine whether to help the young hunter or not.

Find the Hunter and Pick Up His Quest
The quest begins by finding the hunter and asking if he needs help.
You’ll find him to the east of the burnt-down village.

Simply follow the road to the east and you’ll eventually reach his home.
You’ll know you’re there when you find a large lookout tower.
Speak to him and ask how you can help.
He’ll tell you that he sent a young apprentice out into the woods to hunt, but he hasn’t returned to yet.
You can volunteer to find him and see what’s going on.
Help the Young Hunter Acquire and Cook Food
When you find the young hunter, he’ll tell you that he isn’t comfortable hunting.

You can volunteer to hunt for him.
To do so, you’re going to need some spears and a stone knife.
Craft both.
It’s also a good idea to have a few spears on hand.
Crafting three to four should get you through provided you have decent aim.
You’re now able to choose what kind of quarry you want to hunt.
There are lots of rabbit around, but they’re difficult to see in all the grass and quite fast.
It’s possible to run them down and stab them, but they only provide so much meat.
You can also hunt deer.
They’re harder to kill and require more spears.
However, you’ll get a lot of meat and fur off of them.
For our own quest, we decided to hunt some foxes.

If you travel back west, you’ll eventually come to a shrine.
There are quite a few foxes that spawn here.
They’re a bit bigger than rabbits, so they’re easier to hit and see.
You can also get a decent number of meat from them, so you really only need to kill one or two if you’re unlucky.
When you have the meat, you’re going to need to cook it.

You can either return home and cook it on the fireplace if you have a home, or you can build a small campfire where you are and cook it there.
Once you’ve cooked the three pieces of meat, you can return it to the hunter.
Return to the Hunter and Decide His Fate
When you tell the young hunter that you have meat, you’ll have to make a decision.
You discover that the older hunter has been using him to hunt down meat, so he doesn’t have to.
You can either tell the young hunter to eat the food, since he hasn’t eaten in days, or you can tell him to give his master the meat since it will toughen him up.
If you choose to tell him to eat the meat, the young hunter will be grateful.
However, the older hunter will be very angry and essentially tell you to scram.
Either way, you still get a few blueprints unlocked.
Choose what matches your conscience, then turn it in and get your blueprints unlocked.
In particular, you get the hare box trap, archery target, and hunter’s hut blueprints unlocked.
Conclusion
Depending on if you want the older hunter to like you or not, you should choose carefully when deciding whether to feed the young hunter or not.
