Building the wrong structure can put you miles behind and make you rush to keep up with villager demands.
By building the right structures first, you can have everything prepared and start your village off on the right foot.
In this survival guide, we’ll show you what you should build first in your village in Sengoku Dynasty.

Always Build a House Before Inviting Villagers
One structure you should make before inviting anyone to your village is a house.

In Sengoku Dynasty, you can’t even invite a villager to your village if you don’t have a home for them.
This is different from Medieval Dynasty in which you can invite a villager to your village even if you don’t have a home ready for them.
Since Sengoku Dynasty requires you to assign a villager to a bed, you’re unable to do much of anything without a home.
With a house out of the way, you might wonder what’s the next village building you should build.
Build Food Storage To Keep Villagers Happy
Before you build production buildings, the first structure you should build in Sengoku Dynasty is food storage.

This is a place where you can store all the food that you and your villagers can eat.
Food is essential in Sengoku Dynasty.
Without it, your villagers will lose happiness and may even leave your village.
You don’t want to miss out on villagers, especially if they have a specific skill that you need.
To avoid their mood drop, build a food storage and fill it with food.
Then when you invite a villager, you know that their needs are going to be taken care of.
How Do You Build Food Storage in Sengoku Dynasty
In order to build the food storage structure, you’re going to need to unlock.
Complete some of the initial quests at the burnt down village, and it will unlock eventually.
Once you have it unlocked, you’re going to need to equip your wooden hammer.
With your hammer in hand, open up the structures menu, then navigate to Buildings and Storage Buildings.
You’ll need quite a few resources to build the food storage in Sengoku Dynasty.
Place the following items in your inventory:
- 20 stone
- 20 straw
- 8 log (any kind)
- 10 planks
You’ll also need an additional 12 straw to build the containers within the building.
Hammer all the resources in, and you’ll have your food storage.
Simply click and drag food into the storage to have your villagers eat from it at the change of the season.
Conclusion
Building the right first structure can ensure you start the game off strong.
A food storage building ensures your villagers remain happy as long as you have enough food in it.
