Setting out traps and hunting can be time-consuming activities in Wild West Dynasty.

A much better way to get a lot of food is to have someone hunt for you.

In this survival guide, we’ll show you how to build a cage for hares in Wild West Dynasty.

To see this build visually, be sure to watch the video below!

You’ll need a certain number of tech points before you can build the hare cage and start receiving passive rabbit meat.

The hare cage requires 10 tech points, and you’ll find it in the Farmer’s Tree on the Technology tab of the main menu.

To earn tech points, you just need to craft items.

We crafted about 50 stone knives to earn enough points to unlock the hare cage, for example.

Building the hare cage is relatively inexpensive.

To do so, you’re going to need to equip the hammer and press the “B” key.

Head to City and then Ranch.

Within the Ranch selection, you’ll find a cage for hares.

Click that and then place the cage where you want it with a left-click.

To build the cage, you’ll need four logs and three planks.

Hammer those resources into the cage until it’s finished.

Now, even though you have the cage, it won’t start producing meat until you assign a worker to it.

The worker is essentially raising, butchering, and harvesting that meat for you.

To assign a worker, you’re going to need to head to the Management tab on the main menu.

Double-click on your city.

Then click on the cage symbol on the left with the rest of the icons.

This will open up the assignment menu.

Click on the drop-down menu to assign a worker to the cage.

You can then add a product for the worker to produce.

Choose meat if you want the worker to harvest meat.

Keep in mind that the worker will only do so during work hours.

Outside work hours, you won’t be collecting any meat.

Now that you have someone collecting meat, you might be wondering where it’s going.

Once your worker has spent time collecting meat, you won’t find it in the cage.

Instead, you’ll need to head to your city warehouse.

The worker will automatically put one piece of rabbit meat into the warehouse after every 120 seconds during work hours.

Before you know it, you’ll have more meat than you can use.

So, build your cage for hares and start collecting meat passively in Wild West Dynasty.
