When running through the mines, you’ll eventually discover dwarven remains, and you may wonder if you should honor them or not.

Honoring the remains gives you a unique item that allows you to build an even more unique structure, so it may be worth taking the time to honor them.

In this survival guide, we’ll go over what happens if you choose to honor dwarven remains in Return to Moria.

You can find dwarven remains all throughout the mines.

They’re a random spawn, so you can never be too sure where to find them.

Simply take a walk around the mines, and look for large piles of bones.

This usually indicates a fallen dwarven warrior.

You know you’ve found one if you see a prompt to honor the dwarf’s remains.

After choosing to honor a warrior’s remains, you’re going to receive two rewards.

The first is a status buff.

You’ll receive the Hero-Spirit buff which basically reduces energy usage.

You can do a bit more without becoming tired, basically.

You’ll also receive a Hero Token.

A Hero Token is a resource item that you can collect which allows you to build a Memorial Flame.

You’ll need five Hero Tokens in order to make a Memorial Flame.

The Memorial Flame is a structure that pays tribute to the fallen dwarves of Moria.

So, if you want that structure in your base, then you may need to start honoring some warriors.
