You’ll need some armor to survive the dangerous Mines of Moria.
Yet, you may be unsure how to unlock certain armor recipes like the Iron Hills Gloves.
In this survival guide, we’ll show you how to craft iron hill gloves in The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria.
To see the process for yourself, be sure to watch the video below!
How To Get the Iron Hills Gloves Recipe in Return to Moria
You won’t find the recipe for the Iron Hills gloves just anywhere.
You’re going to need to repair some statues.
There’s a chance that the recipe for the gloves might drop each time you repair a statue in Westgate.

There are a few other recipes the statue might drop, too.
You’ll need two recipe fragments to have the full recipe for the gloves, so you may need to repair a few statues before it’s unlocked.
Repairing statues is easy since you just need a hammer and some stone.
Once you have the full recipe, you’re ready to craft it.
How To Craft the Iron Hills Gloves in Return to Moria
With the recipe unlocked, you’re going to need to head to your forge.
You should see it as an option to craft.

To craft the iron hills gloves, you’re going to need the following resources:
- 2 Iron Ingots
- 2 Hide Scraps
- 6 Cloth Scraps
With everything you need on hand, you can craft the item.
It will show up in your inventory, and you can then equip it on the hand slot in your inventory.
You’ll notice that the gloves fill your armor bar by one-third.
This means that enemies will have to tear that bar down before they do typical damage to your health.
That’s not bad for tier 1 armor.
So, find the recipe, craft your gloves, and protect yourself a bit better for your mine explorations.
