They also provide better buffs.

While a statue might unlock a recipe, a monument can offer a buff or make an area safer.
For example, if you choose to repair the monument outside the entrance to the Elven Quarter, then the monument will reduce how fast the shadow grows at night.
It can also help remove despair if your dwarf is feeling depressed.
You also receive a special song that your dwarf will swing with an orchestra accompanying them.

It’s a great moment for a bit of lore reveal while also helping you stay connected to your character.
For the roleplayers out there, fixing these monuments should definitely be on your agenda.
How Do You Repair Monuments in Return to Moria
Repairing a monument is not unlike repairing a statue.
All you need is the right resources and tools.
Keep in mind that more advanced monuments might require a higher tier tool.
It might also require more advanced resources.
The monument sitting outside the Elven Quarter is one of the easiest to repair.
It only requires 10 stone, and you can repair it with your iron hammer.

Simply have the stone in your inventory, then click the repair option.
You’ll repair the monument and immediately receive inspiration which crests into a moving song.
