While exploring the beautiful ruins of the Elven Quarter in The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria, you’ll come across broken statues.

You can repair these statues just like the ones you found earlier in the mines, but they require a better hammer to do so.

In this survival guide, we’ll show you how to make a steel hammer in Return to Moria.

To see how to craft it for yourself, be sure to watch the video below!

To unlock the steel hammer recipe, you need to repair the Great Forge of Narvi.

It unlocks the steel ingot recipe which, in turn, unlocks a bunch of new recipes.

The steel hammer is one of them.

Collect the missing parts, put them where they belong, then survive or escape the horde of goblins and orc.

Afterward, you’ll be able to craft the steel hammer.

To make the steel hammer, you’re going to need a few resources and a smithy.

You can use the Great Forge of Narvi or you can use your own smithy back at your base.

  • 1 Hide

You can smelt steel ingots with iron ore and coal in your Furnace.

Elven wood can be gathered from the trees that grow throughout the Elven Quarter.

Hide you can gather by hunting the white deer that make the Elven Quarter their home.

Once you have everything you need, craft the hammer in the smithy.

The steel hammer is useful for repairing statues in the Elven Quarter.

You can also use it to repair your base or other structures.

Since it’s a second tier tool, it tends to repair things faster.

If you want to find new recipes for weapons and armor, then using the steel hammer to repair statues is well worth the effort.
