You need to be ready for them by wearing armor, but you may not have any money to purchase some.

How To Get Free Armor in Sengoku Dynasty

You’ll be able to gain free armor by completing the quest, “Secrets of the Trade.”

It’s a questline that begins by visiting Iwasaki, a mining town.

You’ll also be able to unlock the smithy by starting up the quest.

At one point, Dong will ask you to make him five iron axes.

He wants to use them to mine a bunch of iron ore, sell it, and then buy his freedom.

You’ll need to use your own smithy to make the iron axes.

To craft iron axes, you’ll need the following resources:

• 3 Iron Ore
• 2 Straw
• 1 Plank

Then just head back to Iwasaki and give them to Dong.

He’ll get the money he needs to buy his freedom, and then give you a choice.

Should you encourage Dong to remain as a slave or buy his freedom and search for his lost love?

Choose which feels right to you.

Dong will reward you either way by giving you a set of armor.

The quest will also unlock the recipes used to make that armor.

Keep in mind that this is beginner-tier armor.

It doesn’t offer a lot of protection, but it’s better than nothing.

If used with your villagers, it also provides 50 luxury for the chest piece and 20 security for the helmet.

With your new armor on hand, you have a bit more protection against the bandits throughout the valley.
