As immersive as it is, sometimes looking up at the sun or pulling out your GPS to check the time just isn’t cutting it.

Endnight has solved a problem you didn’t even know you had by introducing a recipe to build a clock that you can hang in your base.

In this survival guide, we’ll show you where you can find the clock blueprint in Sons of the Forest, and how to build it.

If you have dreams of making your home a bit more homey in Sons of the Forest, then a clock is just what you need.

To grab the recipe, you’re going to need to head deep into the snow mountains.

Getting there can be tough, but the good news is that it isn’t too hard to find the ice cave that holds the clock blueprint.

The ice cave in question is at the center of the snow mountains.

You’ll need to head a little north once hitting the central point.

The cave, itself, is tucked away within a ravine.

You’ll know you’re in the right area if the cave sits next to a large river.

I didn’t have too much trouble getting to this spot.

There’s also a small ramp that leads up to the cave entrance.

It’s also easy to spot thanks to the tent that sits on the other side of the river.

Once you’ve found the cave entrance, head inside.

You don’t have to worry about any mutants or cannibals in here.

Weave around the ice tunnel until you come to a rope dropping into a hole.

Climb down the hole, then be careful when you hit the bottom.

If you move backward, you could fall right into the next hole.

If anything, move forward to ensure you don’t end up falling.

Spoilers, but that’s exactly what I did.

If you do fall, then the good news is the damage won’t be too much.

You’ll survive it.

Otherwise, take the rope down the second hole.

It’s here that you’ll find the recipe for the clock.

It’s sitting on top of a skeleton that’s resting against some boxes.

You’ll also find a number of other items in the cave.

Feel free to take what you want, but you should take at least one of the golf cart batteries if you don’t have one already.

You’ll need it later.

Let’s be honest here; the clock is very unique with some of the resources it requires.

To build the clock, you’re going to need the following resources:

  • 1 Wire
  • 1 Battery
  • 1 Bone
  • 1 Quarter Log
  • 22 Sticks
  • 1 watch
  • 2 Arms

Yes, you’re going to need two arms which act as the clock’s arms.

This is my kind of humor.

Once you have all the resources you need, you simply feed it into the blueprint.

You’ll find the blueprint in question in your build menu.

It will be part of the fillable blueprints that appear on your left side when using the building menu.

The clock can attach to both vertical and horizontal surfaces.

I found it a bit difficult to get exactly flat against wooden walls, but it is possible.

You can also place it on a ramp if you want your clock inclined.

Once the clock is built, you’ll notice that the arms start to move according to the passage of time.

So, it even works!

You can enjoy your new clock and keep aware of the time whenever you want.
