How To Unlock the Alchemical Still Blueprint in Return to Moria
You won’t be able to unlock the alchemical still by just picking up a certain type of resource.
It requires a bit of work.
To unlock the alchemical still blueprint in Return to Moria, you need to restore the Ranger’s Journal in the Western Halls region.
You’ll find various Ranger’s Journal Pages scattered throughout the mines.
Once you’ve found enough pages, you can repair the journal.
You’ll receive a number of blueprints and recipes with one of them being the alchemical still.
How To Build the Alchemical Still in Return to Moria

While the alchemical still doesn’t require too many rare resources, it does require one resource that you may need to search for.
To build the alchemical still, you’ll need the following resources:
- 8 Bronze Ingots
- 5 Resin
Bronze ingots can be a bit expensive since not every mine shaft has a decent amount of copper or tin ore.
If you’ve been keeping up with your copper and tin mining, however, then you may have a lot of bronze ingots available.
Resin will require you to explore the Lower Deeps.
You’ll need to fix the Mine Hoist to travel down to the Lower Deeps.
I’ll admit that the Lower Deeps is a pretty scary place, too.
It’s filled with tough enemies and poisonous mushrooms.
Keep an eye out while looking for resin.
Once you have everything you need, you can build the alchemical still and place it wherever you want.
Why Should You Build the Alchemical Still in Return to Moria
Now, considering that the alchemical still is a bit expensive when it comes to bronze ingots, you might be wondering if making it is worth it.
If you want to make advanced brews, then it’s absolutely worth making.
The alchemical still upgrades the brewing kettle.
It allows you to make advanced brews which are useful for making better buffs.
You’ll want those buffs the deeper you travel in the mines.
So, make your alchemical still in Return to Moria and buff your character up a bit to survive the dangers of Moria.
