Some provide protection while others simply look great.

Where To Find the Leather Jacket in Sons of the Forest

To get your hands on the leather jacket and start exploring the island in style, you’ll need to find the airstrip in the southwest portion of the map.

On the airstrip, you’ll discover a crashed plane with a dead pilot inside it.

There are a number of crates and suitcases around the plane, too, which can offer some resources.

The airstrip also contains a handful of drivable golf carts, so if you don’t have one yet, then you can slide into one and drive off after grabbing the leather jacket.

One landmark to consider following to find the airstrip is to head west from a long river that runs at the edge of the mountains.

The airstrip is long enough that if you head west from the Cultist Cave (Cave D), you should be able to bump into it.

When you’ve found the airstrip, you’ll find the crashed plane about half-way across it.

The leather jacket is sitting on the seat beside the dead pilot.

Bring some weapons, however, as this place is usually crawling with cannibals.

I like to take the drivable golf carts and run into them to clear the area.

You’ll also find a pamphlet that advertises the luxury and entertainment bunker.

Pick up the leather jacket and equip it or give it to Kelvin to wear instead.

It’s also worth mentioning that you can find the same leather jacket in the Rebreather Cave.

Leather Jacket Stats

The leather jacket isn’t going to offer much protection against mutants and cannibals, but it does have its uses.

For one, it looks pretty sweet, and it comes with a pair of sunglasses.

When you put it on Kelvin, he looks pretty darn badass in it.

If you want to wear it, you’ll find that it protects you the most against the rain.

It has just about half-way protection against the rain, which means you’re less likely to freeze or not freeze quite as much when wearing it.

It also offers some heat and comfort.

So, if it starts raining in Sons of the Forest, then be sure to put on your leather jacket.
