What Element Types are in Palworld

Palworld has nine different Element types.

Each Element has a strength and weakness aside from Neutral, which isn’t strong against anything.

Some Pals even have two different Element types, making them both stronger and weaker against two Elements.

The benefit here is that you could make up a party of Pals that tackle two different Element Types without having to train an additional party of Pals.

It’s an efficient means of having a strong party of Pals for two Element types.

You can also sometimes find Pals of a particular Element type that have a different Element type.

For example, a Firesparks, which is a Fire Element Pal, might have a sub-species that is actually a Water Element Pal.

These are rare spawns, however, so you’ll have to do some searching if you want to find them.

Why Does Element Type Matter in Palworld

By checking out your Survival Guide in the Options menu of Palworld, you can look at a handy chart that details which Elements are strong and weak against each other.

This is an important part of Palworld because it helps you determine your party for specific battles.

For example, if you want to take on a Tower boss, it’s worth knowing what type they are.

Then you can train up Pals that are strong against that type and make the fight a bit easier.

The same goes for wandering bosses in the world.

By learning its type, you can start to grow your Pals that have the Element type that your target is weakest to.

It’s still a good idea to have a mix of different Pals in your party to inflict different status effects, but having Pals of the same type can be helpful when taking down a big boss.
