Where To Find Garin’s Muznakan Carvings in Return to Moria

Garin’s Muznakan carvings are not easy to find in Return to Moria.
You won’t encounter the carvings until you reach the Lower Deeps, and since this area is sprawling, it can be difficult to know where to get your hands on them.
We found these carvings primarily in the starter room when you first reach the Lower Deeps.
It’s the room where your dwarf will enter and talk about the Lower Deeps.
There should be a History Marker in the area, too, so if you see that, you’re in the right place.
Our carvings were tucked away within the mushroom trees and up on ruined walls.
Some of our carvings were on the floor in some of the tunnels leading out of the starter region, but we never discovered any much deeper than that.
So, we’d recommend looking for Garin’s Muznakan carvings around the starter room in the Lower Deeps.
You’ll want to keep a sharp eye out, too, since the carvings are grey and blend in well with the background.
You’ll need to find at least seven to unlock the chest.
Where is Garin’s Muznakan Chest in Return to Moria

Finding Garin’s Muznakan chest is harder than finding his carvings, in my opinion.
I have a few savefiles for the game, and I have yet to find the chest on one of them despite having explored every room.
For my other save file, I managed to find the chest just past a troll.
The room, itself, has a winding path that leads upwards.
I had to make a few quick platforms to cross areas where the path had fallen apart.
You may find your chest in a similar area.
Either way, it’s easy to miss the chest, so keep your eyes peeled.
What’s Inside Garin’s Muznakan Chest in Return to Moria

Considering the chest and carvings aren’t the easiest things to find in the Lower Deeps, you might wonder if it’s worth the effort.
If you want to complete the Belegost armor set, then it definitely is worth the effort.
Unlocking Garin’s Muznakan chest unlocks the Belegost helmet and Belegost shield recipes.
You’ll be able to make both in a Khuzdul Forge or the Great Forge of Belegost.
Both can boost your defenses, and considering all the dangers that await you, it’s a good idea to arm yourself while you can.
It may take some time, but unlocking the Belegost helmet and shield are worth it in the long run.
