Metal scraps are a valuable crafting resource in Enshrouded.

But getting your hands on them at the beginning of the game can be difficult.

In this survival guide, we’ll show you the top locations to get metal scraps in Enshrouded for beginners.

1. Hit Metal Items

There are various metal items and objects in the ruins of Enshrouded’s villages.

You can destroy these items and have a chance for metal scraps to drop.

Everything from metal cages to metal bins are great objects to destroy and farm for metal.

Some of the earliest locations are the metal cages on Braelyn Bridge, the metal bins at the encampment just inside the Shroud in the starter area, and metal objects in Longkeep.

2. Ancient Vault – Blacksmith

My favorite place to farm metal scraps early in the game is at the Ancient Vault where you awaken the Blacksmith.

There are tons of pods in the area, and while they may take a while to destroy, they drop a decent amount of metal scraps.

While there are certainly better areas to farm metal down the line, for beginners, this is a great metal scrap farm spot.

The enemies that spawn here also drop metal scraps, so you can get a lot with each visit.

3. Rookmore

Once you have decent armor and a weapon, it’s time to head to Rookmore.

It’s on the western side of Braelyn Bridge, so you’ll need to travel through the Shroud to reach it.

You can also glide down with the glider from the Ancient Vault – Blacksmith location to get there.

The town of Rookmore is home to several enemies that drop metal scraps.

You’ll also find metal scraps laying around, which you can easily pick up.

Come to Rookmore regularly and clear out the town, and you’ll have more metal scraps than you need.
