How To Unlock the Orkish Medicine Brewing Recipe

You can unlock the brewing recipe for Orkish medicine by repairing the Ranger’s Journal in the Lower Deeps.
There are six pages you need to find to restore the journal.
You can find them by defeating orcs in their outposts and unlocking their chests.
You can also sometimes find pages by old ruins.
After restoring the journal at the Ranger’s Camp, the recipe for Orkish medicine will drop.
How To Make Orkish Medicine in Return to Moria

You’ll need two main crafting stations to make Orkish Medicine in Return to Moria.
The first is the Brew Kettle.
The Brew Kettle won’t do the job alone, however.
You also need its upgrade, the Alchemical Still, to brew advanced brews like Orkish medicine.
The good news is if you’ve been doing the Ranger Camp quests, you should have the alchemical still unlocked.
Now that the brew kettle is upgraded, it’s time to brew Orkish Medicine.
You’ll need the following brewing ingredients:
- 20 Biteweed
- 4 Bones
- 2 Chitin
- 2 Cave Honey
Biteweed you can find at Orc strongholds where you typically fight bosses.
Bones will drop from orcs that you fight in the Lower Deeps.
Chitin drops from moths that you can find and fight in the Lower Deeps.
Cave honey is easy to gather.
You just need to keep your eye out for barrels with honey in them throughout the Mines of Moria and Lower Deeps areas.
When you have everything, craft the brew in the Brew Kettle.
It takes roughly 25 minutes for the brew to finish, so you’ll need to find something to do while you wait.
What Does Orkish Medicine Do in Return to Moria

Now, there’s a bit of a gamble when using Orkish Medicine.
Drinking it will give you the Fell Temper buff.
On the upside, the buff increases your stamina and attack power.
You’ll cause more damage and be able to swing your weapon and use your Charged attacks more often.
However, it also slowly decreases your health over time.
You can think of it as a “last hurrah” potion.
You’re going to go down, probably, but you’re going to take a lot of orcs with you.
Since you can collect Orkish Medichine in your Brewskin, you may want to keep it on hand for when you encounter tough enemies.
After drinking it, you’ll have a better chance of taking them down.
Bring healing supplies with you, too, or else embrace your fate and die when the medicine brings saps all your health.
Orkish Medicine can be helpful in certain situations, but it’s definitely something you need to plan for if you want to use it.
