Getting your hands on it in a large supply isn’t always easy.

In this survival guide, we’ll show you three different methods to get animal hide in Enshrouded.

1. Hunt Animals and Skin Them

One of the first methods you’ll use to acquire a handful amount of hide is by hunting.

The starter area has some goats and wolves that can drop hide if you hunt them down.

You won’t be able to get much off of them, but it’s a good way to start your supply.

Goats tend to run away, so it’s helpful if you have a bow that can take them down from afar.

Wolves are aggressive, so you can use a bow to take them down, too.

Or break out your sword or staff and meet them in battle.

2. Cavemen Enemies

There are several enemies in Enshrouded that can drop items.

If you want hide, then you’re going to need to look for these cavemen-like enemies.

They look a bit like Beast from Beauty and the Beast to me, honestly.

They’re aggressive, too.

Even worse, some of them have magic, so you’ll want to focus on them, so they don’t keep healing all the other enemies.

When you defeat them, many of them tend to drop hide.

Since these guys travel in packs, you can potentially collect a good amount of animal hide from them in a short amount of time.

3. Loot Enemy Homes

While killing the beast-like enemies can give you a decent amount of hide, don’t forget to look for their encampment either.

They typically have caves and outposts nearby where they spawned.

These areas tend to have animal hide just lying around.

Go ham and pick up everything you see.

Between defeating the enemies and looting their homes, you’ll come away with a lot of animal hide in Enshrouded.

Now, you might be wondering where you can find these guys.

They tend to spawn in the eastern portion of the map, near where you awaken the Hunter.

Look for caves, and if you’re still having a rough time, check the Ancient Vault, itself.

They tend to make camp there, and you can find a good amount of hide.
