1. North of Chillet Boss

If you’re familiar with the Chillet boss battle, then you should know there’s a decent ore area just north of where it spawns.

There are several nodes in this area, and it’s situated on top of a cliff.

It gives you a great view of the grasslands below.

The fact that it’s also close to the Chillet boss fight means you can make it an easy habit of grinding for Ancient Civilization parts when you need it, too.

Add in the fact that the area is relatively flat, and you have a decent area for an ore base.

2. West of Thunder Dragon Boss

The second place to consider having an ore base is just west of the Thunder Dragon boss arena.

There is a great collection of ore nodes here.

It’s also quite pretty with a lovely overview of the area and a small pond.

For those who like to battle outposts and free Pals, you’ll also be happy to know there’s an outpost close by.

It’s a great way to score some free Pals.

You’re also close to the Thunder Dragon boss fight, so you can always farm the fight for Ancient Technology Points and Parts.

3. West of the Small Settlement

The small settlement is one of the first friendly locations players tend to run into when playing Palworld.

You can do a lot of trading with the locals.

Just west of this settlement and across the bridge is another great place for an ore base.

It has a collection of ore nodes and has a flat area that makes it easy to build.

Now, if you like to have a good view with your base, then I highly recommend this base location.

It sits overlooking the ocean, so you can admire the area whenever you want.

It’s also relatively close to the small settlement, so you can quickly hop down there if you need to trade.

4. Desolate Church

If there’s one popular ore base location, it’s the desolate church.

It’s in the early part of the game, so this area is pretty safe to explore.

Even better, there’s a waypoint right there, which means you can easily fast travel to the area to start setting up your base.

Like the other locations, you’ll find plenty of ore nodes here.

One thing to keep in mind is that the area is tight.

Some Pals can sometimes fall off the cliff and get stuck.

That said, because of its safe location and ease of access, beginners will likely want to call this location home.
