Sengoku Dynasty recently received a massive update called the Kintsugi update.

The devs described it as a way to fix and amend certain mechanics and gameplay to make the game more enjoyable for players.

In this survival guide, we’ll bring you some of the major changes you can expect in Sengoku Dynasty.

1. Recipe and Blueprint Changes

Before the update, to unlock new recipes, you needed to complete certain quests.

That’s all changed now.

There are a number of new ways to unlock recipes now.

Some of them include:

  • Achieving certain Dynasty Levels
  • Making new items
  • Building new structures
  • Purchasing recipe in the build menu
  • Buying recipes from a trader
  • Completing certain quests

Clearly, it’s easier to access a lot more recipes earlier in the game now.

2. Dynasty Advancement

Before the update, if you wanted to improve your Dynasty Levels, you needed to complete certain quests.

The more you advanced through the story, the higher your Dynasty Level would be.

That’s different now.

With the update, completing quests will give you Dynasty XP instead of Levels.

If you want Levels, you need to start recruiting villagers.

It’s based on villager recruitment.

So, the more villagers you have, the higher your Dynasty Level will become.

Keep in mind, too, that the more villagers you have, the higher their needs.

So grow sustainably to ensure your villagers don’t become angry.

3. Production Changes

Another area that the update has changed drastically is production.

Before the update, Sengoku Dynasty used a season-based method of production.

At the beginning of every new season, the workers would produce all their items and consume all their needs.

That’s changed.

Now, they produce daily.

At 18:00, the workers will put all their produced goods in their respective storage buildings for the day.

They’ll also consume their needs at that time.

This makes the game a bit more exciting since players now need to manage their villager’s needs daily rather than seasonally.

It also speeds up the building and production process since players are able to receive resources each day.

Players will also notice that some production items are stackable in storage buildings.

Logs, for example, can stack in 10s while inside storage.

Some workstations also have beds, which allow you to temporarily house a worker while you work on their official house.

All these changes will likely make Sengoku Dynasty a bit more challenging and exciting to play.

4. Animals

The devs have also added two more animals to Sengoku Dynasty.

Wolves and bears will start spawning on the map.

While I haven’t encountered a bear yet, I have encountered a few wolves.

They’re fast and bite hard, so come prepared when exploring the woods now.

5. Farming

Finally, farming has seen a few changes, too.

One of the main ones is that you can now farm Gobo.

Wildflowers and herbs are also tied to the seasons.

So, if you want a specific herb or flower, make sure you harvest them when you can during its specific season.
