The mine near Skauki is one of the best mines in Oxbow.

It’s safe since it’s technically the mine that the villagers use.

It also already has access to iron ore.

So, if you want to start collecting iron ore early in the game, head to Skauki mine.

You can find it at the location below:

To the northwest of Piastovia, you’ll find this mine.

For those looking to mine with a challenge, you’ll find two bears who are close to the mine’s entrance.

The good news is you might be able to avoid them if you enter the area from atop the mine.

Otherwise, build a fence and take the bears out before you start mining.

That might make trading a bit easier for those who like to sell their ore right off the bat.

With no dangers guarding the mine, you’ll have an easy time extracting ore here.

Considering its scenic area, it makes a lot of sense.

You’ll need to head northeast of Ostoya to find this mine.

Beware though as there are a few bears guarding its entrance.

Keep close to the eastern side to avoid them.

Bears aside, you might be able to make a village here, too.

The last mine is far north of Ostoya.

It’s off in the corner of the map and far away from the other villages.

This makes it an ideal location if you want to build a village away from everyone else.

The area is large enough to support a village, too.

This area is relatively safe but you can encounter wolves and bears on the journey here.

Its distance also means it isn’t ideal for quick trades.

However, it can support a village if you don’t mind traveling.
