Breeding is a key part of Palworld since it allows you to make Pals with powerful skills.
It takes a few steps before you’re able to start breeding your Pals, however.
In this survival guide, we’ll show you how to make a breeding farm in Palworld.

How To Unlock the Breeding Farm in Palworld

It takes a few levels before you’re able to unlock the breeding farm in Palworld.
You need to reach level 19 and unlock the blueprint with 2 tech points.
The good news is that by the time you reach level 19, you’ll likely have enough points to unlock it straight away.
How To Build the Breeding Farm in Palworld

The breeding farm isn’t complex to build in Palworld, but it does require a large number of resources.
You’ll need the following to make the breeding farm:
- 100 Wood
- 20 Stone
- 50 Fiber
Once you have all the items you need in your inventory or in a chest, you can craft the farm.
It will take several minutes on your own to complete the build, so try having a few handiwork Pals available to help you.
What Do You Need to Breed Pals in Palworld

Breeding Pals isn’t as simple as tossing random Pals into the farm to see what happens.
You have to fulfill a few requirements.
The first is that you need a Male Pal or Female Pal assigned to the farm.
Those Pals don’t have to be the same type of Pal, for example, you can assign a Lamball and a Chikipi, but they have to be different genders.
You also need cake for them to lay an egg.
A cake can be made in a cooking pot.
You’ll need the following ingredients to make cake:
- 5 Flour
- 8 Red Berries
- 7 Milk
- 8 Eggs
- 2 Honey
It takes some time for cakes to finish, so it’s a good idea to set aside a cooking pot for cakes alone.
Once you have everything you need, set the cake in a chest close to the farm, so no one else eats it.
Then you just need to wait for your Pals to take care of their business.
Eventually, they’ll lay an egg, and you can place it in an incubator to hatch.
If you don’t have an egg incubator yet, you can read our egg incubator guide here to find out how to unlock it.
Breeding Combinations and How To Get Certain Pals
Now comes the important part.
How do you breed to get certain Pals?
Certain pairings end up resulting in certain Pals.
While you can try to find out the different combinations for yourself, there are also breeding calculators out there made by fans.
Our favorite to use is Palworld.gg.
It makes it so you can search for certain pairings or for a certain child.
It lists out all the different combinations you can use to get a certain Pal child.
Using this tool can speed up your breeding process and make you an expert in no time.
