Salt is a vital ingredient in Enshrouded for making new resources and food items.
To get your hands on salt, you may have to venture into some dangerous locations.
In this survival guide, we’ll show you where to get your hands on Salt in Enshrouded.
Where To Get Salt

There are a few salt mines scattered through Enshrouded, but one of the first mines you can easily find is provided by the hunter.
Rescue the hunter and pick up her salt mine quest.
You’ll receive a new icon on the map that shows you where the salt mine is located.
Head there, but be ready, because it’s in the Shroud.
You can expect bugs and Shroud warriors to make mining difficult.
There are a few tunnels you can tuck away in within the mine that can give you some peace.
Since you’re right in the smack dab middle of the Shroud, you’ll want to be cautious with your time.
The good news is that you have a pickaxe, at the very least a scrappy one, you can come away with a good amount of salt in a short amount of time.
Why Do You Need Salt

Considering it can be pretty dangerous to collect salt, you might wonder what the point of it is.
Salt is useful for two reasons.
The first is that it’s an ingredient used in the drying rack to make dried fur, among other items.
Dried fur is resource you’ll need to make better backpacks and armor.
It’s also used as a cooking ingredient.
If you want to have more health and give yourself other passive buffs, then you’ll need salt.
So, prepare yourself, and head into the Shroud to get your hands on some salt.
