With the Kinsugi update out, it’s time to dive back into Sengoku Dynasty.
If you’re on the hunt for a new base location, we have something for everyone.
In this survival guide, we’ll show you six best base locations in Sengoku Dynasty.
1. Best For Beginners

For beginners, there is no better base location than in Sosogi.
You encounter Sosogi right at the very beginning of the game.

It has a bunch of burnt down homes that you can break down for a ton of beginning resources.
A lot of the initial quests also start around the area.
With plenty of resources around and not too many dangers, settling atop the remains of Sosogi is a great strategy for beginners.
2. Best for Farmers

If you know you’re going to spend a lot of time farming, then you need a wide, open, space but still have enough resources around you.
The location shown on the map below is a great place for farmers because of its open space.

Just because you want open space doesn’t mean you want to be far from resources though.
This area has a large forest surrounding it, so you have plenty of resources like trees, stone, and even clay within easy reach.
You’re also not too far from Iwasaki for trade.
3. Best for Trade

Speaking of traders, you’ll likely enjoy this area for your village.
It sits right on the edge of the map, but there’s a beautiful river that separates you from the village of Iwasaki.

This means that you can do whatever type of trade you want to do and have a partner right there you can sell to.
They’re literally right across the river.
There are tons of resources, too.
You can always mine Iwasaki’s mine for iron, farm in the open area, and get high-tier resources like bamboo which is also closeby.
Keep in mind that there are some bears that spawn close by, too, which means you could set up a fur trade as well.
There are plenty of opportunities for coin with this spot.
4. Best for Large Villages

Now, the whole point of Sengoku Dynasty is to have several villages.
Some players might want to spread their villages out.
If you want to make a bunch of villages close together to basically form a large village, then you’ll need this area.

The area is open, flat, and has tons of resources all around it.
There’s even a cave nearby.
This is great for all types of different productions, so if you really want to have a large village, this is the place to go.
Its central location also makes it ideal for easy trade between different villages.
5. Best for Mining

Speaking of mining, if you know you’re going to want make mining and blacksmith the focus of your village, you need a nearby cave.
This base location is perfect for that because it has a flat area right next to a cave entrance.

This is also not far from the large flat land where you could build multiple villages, too.
The possibilities are basically endless here.
6. Best for Beauty

I’m a sucker for waterfalls, so if you like to have water features as part of your village for aesthetic purposes, then you need to check this area out.

Its main attraction is a waterfall that empties out into a beautiful pool of water.
It’s also next to a forest, so you could build anywhere in this area and enjoy both wooded views and the waterfall.
Keep in mind that there are bears that lurk in this area, so this base location could also be ideal for hunters.
If you’re looking for a beautiful spot, consider this area for your village.
