While mining solafite ore is a sure way to get your hands on the rare material, there’s another way to get it that doesn’t even require you to leave your base.
That said, you better be ready to fight for it.
In this survival guide, we’ll show you how to make the solafite generator in Sons of the Forest.

Where To Find the Solafite Generator in Sons of the Forest

To get your hands on the blueprint for the solafite generator, you’ll need to head west.
There’s a cave on the far side of the western coast just off the beach.

Break the wooden planks barring access to the cave and enter.
Other than a lot of skeletons and some gore, there’s nothing dangerous awaiting you here.
Make your way through the cave until you reach the back.
You’ll find the blueprint sitting on a stone with a bunch of skulls around it.
How To Make the Solafite Generator

To build the solafite generator, you’ll need the following resources:
- 11 Skulls
- 24 Bones
- 10 Stones
You can put the generator anywhere you want, but I recommend somewhere outside in an easily defendable area.
What Does the Solafite Generator Do in Sons of the Forest

The solafite generator has two purposes.
Its main purpose is to generate solafite ore.
Its second purpose is to bring wave after wave of mutants to its location.
To activate it, you’ll need a complete artifact.
Switch between the modes until you get to the one that activates devices.
Then activate the generator.
Keep in mind you’ll need at least one solafite ore in the artifact to make it work.
Once the generator starts, you’ll face a wave of enemies.
During the process, solafite ore will appear around the skulls.
As long as you have the right defenses, the generator is a great way to get solafite ore without needing to go into caves to mine.
