One of the first tasks you receive in Medieval Dynasty is to build your first home.

However, since this is your first quest in the game, you may be a little unsure of how to proceed or what you’ll even need to build your home.

Here’s a quick 3-step process to build your home in Medieval Dynasty.

1. Choose A Spot

Before you choose just any area for your home, you should take the time to consider where you want to put it.

Since you’ll be running to and from your house to sleep and put items away in your storage chest, it’s helpful to have it in a convenient location.

You also want to have some general idea of where the rest of the homes are going to go as well as your other buildings.

Once you have the perfect spot chosen, you simply press the “Q” key to bring up your building menu.

You’ll find the different kinds of home you can build in the “Buildings” section.

Within the “Buildings” section, you’ll see a selection for “Houses.”

Click and choose the house that you want to build.

At the start of the game, you only have one option available.

Choose that and put it down where you want it.

2. Gather Resources

Now that you have the area ready, you’ll need to make a wooden hammer.

The hammer will let you see the blueprint of the house and tell you how many resources you’ll need to gather to build it.

To build a basic, wooden, hammer, you’ll need the following resources:

  • 1 Log
  • 10 Sticks

To make the wooden hammer, you’ll want to press the “Q” key again.

In the “Handcrafting” section, you should see a wooden hammer.

Click it to craft the hammer once you have the appropriate number of resources in your inventory.

With your hammer, you can now see how many resources you’ll need to build a simple, small, house.

The resources include:

  • 10 stones for the foundation
  • 8 logs for the framing

For the actual house construction, you’ll need the following resources:

  • 17 logs
  • 66 sticks
  • 32 straw

Once you’ve gathered all those resources, you can start building your home.

3. Build Your House

The final step to build your house in Medieval Dynasty is to actually build your home.

To do so, you’ll need to make sure that the resources you need are in your inventory.

Since you won’t be able to carry all those items at one time due to the weight, you’ll want to split it up a bit.

It’s also worth mentioning that you shouldn’t edit the walls to a different material at this point.

For example, if you were to edit the walls and make them stone instead of waddle, then you’ll need stone rather than sticks.

The problem with using stone walls at this stage is that it’s very likely that you’re going to demolish this house to build a better one in the future.

The larger house makes your wife and your villagers the happiest.

It’s not worth wasting the resources if you’re going to just destroy the house, anyway.

As such, once you’re ready, you’re going to want to equip your hammer and start hitting the walls.

You have to build each part of your house separately.

Once all the resources are in the section, it forms into a wall, roof, or attic.

As soon as you finish the whole thing, the house completes itself with a bed, cooking fire, and storage chest.

You have your first house in Medieval Dynasty!

Now, it’s time to do it a few more times to make homes for your villagers.

Conclusion

Building a home in Medieval Dynasty is easy once you understand what you need and where everything is in the building menu.
