The golden armor plays an important role in the late-game part of Sons of the Forest.

Yet, it isn’t the easiest thing to find or get to.

In this survival guide, we’ll show where to get the golden armor in Sons of the Forest.

To get the golden armor, you’ll need to first enter the Cultist Cave.

The cave has two entrances with one on the western side of the mountain range and the other on the eastern side of the mountain range.

Take the western entrance.

For specific directions, be sure to read our first part of this cave where we show the location of the night vision goggles and how to enter the cave.

Once you’re inside, head to where the night vision goggles are located.

You can either wear them or continue on with your flashlight.

The Cultist Cave is long and filled with enemies.

To survive, you’re going to want to bring some weapons, a flashlight, and plenty of batteries.

It’s also not a bad idea to bring food, water, or soda cans to keep your stamina up.

With all the swimming, running, and fighting you’re going to be doing, your character is going to become hungry.

It’s also worth bringing a tarp and stick with you.

You can find a few safe places within the cave to build a temporary tent to save and rest.

With your items in hand, it’s time to head deeper into the cave.

The Cultist Cave is large with lots of branches that lead into each other.

A good idea to navigate through is to keep the right-most cave wall at your right and follow it.

When you see a light or glowing ore, you’re going to want to head to it and move through the tunnels.

You should eventually make it to a rope descending downward.

There will be plenty of Puffies and Fingers along the way.

You can run past them without trouble or stand and fight.

Depending on what route you take, you should eventually end up in a room that’s mostly filled with water.

There will be one or two Twins in this room, so run past them or kill them.

You’re looking for a light that’s up on a rocky part above the water.

You should see some dead cultists near the light with some ammo and a battery by them.

Grab what you need, then go past them with the rock wall at your right.

You should enter a large opening with a bunch of golden prongs running from the wall to the floor.

Keep heading past them into the next part.

You’ll run past a Fingers and some babies, and then dive down into the water again.

When you emerge, you’re close to the golden armor.

When you emerge from the water, you’ll find a large filled with mutants.

You can run past them, but there are a lot in this room, so they might make it difficult to grab the armor.

It’s a good idea to kill them before proceeding.

Once they’re killed, you can keep moving forward until you come to an altar or shrine.

You’ll see a number of cultists dressed in space outfits and kneeling before the shrine.

On the shrine is a figure dressed in the golden armor.

Grab it, and either equip it or move on.

To get out of the area, you’ll need to climb up the rope on the other side of the altar.

Now, you might be wondering what the golden armor does in Sons of the Forest.

It isn’t typical armor.

It reduces the damage you take by Mutants by a certain amount.

It does not, however, reduce damage from cannibals.

So, this particular armor is great for running caves or coming up against mutants.

Getting to the golden armor can be difficult since the Cultist Cave can be dangerous.
