If you’re used to using tarps to build mobile camps, then you’ll be happy to know you can also now use them with your stationary base.

Tarps can be used as walls and roofs for your base provided you create the right framework.

In this survival guide, we’ll show you how to build a tarp wall in Sons of the Forest.

To see this process for yourself, be sure to watch the video below!

If you don’t have any tarps on hand, then you may wonder where you can find some to start building.

Tarps are primarily in supply crates throughout the island.

They’re a rather common drop, so it likely won’t take you too long to get your hands on them.

They don’t have a huge stack limit either, so you’ll want to pick up any that you can while you can.

To build a tarp wall in Sons of the Forest, you’re going to need to equip it from your inventory.

Open up the inventory and grab the tarp in your hands.

Outside your inventory, and with the tarp in your hands, take a look at the frame that you want to put it in.

The tarp requires a rectangluar frame made either of wood or stone.

If it’s done correctly, then you should see a white outline where you can put the tarp.

Left-click on the outline, and the tarp will go in place.

You now have a tarp wall!

If you want to build a tarp roof for your base, then the process is similar to building a wall.

You’re going to need to equip it from your inventory.

Then make a framework of logs or stones that forms a rectangle.

With the tarp in your hands, move close to the frame until you see a white dotted outline appear.
