Wild West Dynasty has released its Agriculture update which has altered how farming works.

Those who are looking to become farmers should be aware of how long it takes for crops to grow and their responsibilities to ensure a full yield.

In this survival guide, we’ll go over the steps of farming to ensure you have a successful harvest in Wild West Dynasty.

To see how a farm is made, be sure to watch the video below!

In order to plant seeds, you’re going to need some field plots.

To make a plot, you need a hoe and the technology unlocked.

In your Farmer’s Technology Tree, you’ll see a few nodes for the different sizes of plots that you can have.

Craft items to earn tech points, so you can unlock the field plot size that you want.

Once you have those plots unlocked, you’ll need to make a hoe to build the plot.

You’ll be able to access the plot sizes you’ve unlocked here.

Choose the size of field you want, and then left-click the hoe in the area where you want the plot.

You now have a field ready for sowing.

Now that you have a plot, you might be wondering how you sow it and have your crops start growing.

There are a few steps in the process.

First, you need to fertilize the field.

You’ll need dung to make fertilizer.

You can gather dung from animals that you own or head to Taxation and search the cow pen for dung.

Take the dung to your tinker’s bench and turn it into fertilizer.

You only need one piece of dung to make one fertilizer.

Head to your field and interact with it to fertilize the field.

You’re then able to sow the field.

Put the seeds for the crop you want to grow in the field in your inventory.

Then interact with the field again to sow the field.

Depending on the size of field, you may need a certain number of seeds in order to fully sow it.

The last step is to water the field.

Make a bucket by bringing three planks to a tinker’s bench.

Then fill it with water from a well.

Go back to the field and interact with the field to add water.

Your crops will now start growing, but you might want to keep an eye on it in case it needs more water.

You’re going to have to wait two seasons before your crops finish growing.

Since this can be a lengthy wait, it’s worth planting a lot of small plots, or a few large plots, to make it worth the wait.

You’ll also want to consider turning some of your plots into seeds for future use, so make sure that you strategize accordingly.

Both your townsfolk and animals can eat crops, so you’ll also want to make sure that everyone has enough food to be happy.

Yes, certain seeds can only be planted in certain seasons in Wild West Dynasty.

With the agriculture update, the game also introduced seasons.

You’ll have blistering summers and frigid winters in the game.

Besides impacting food and water demand, seasons also determine what crops are able to be planted.

For winter, for example, you’re able to plant corn and potato seeds.

Since crops take two seasons to grow, it’s worth thinking about how many of each crop you should sow since you’ll have to wait a bit before you can plant them again.

With these new tips and methods in mind, you can start your farm and expect high yields of crops.
