If you’re not regularly swinging your axe around in Return to Moria, then there’s a chance that you might miss out on the workbench recipe.
To unlock it, you’re going to need to pick up elven wood.
Where do you get elven wood?
Well, you’re going to need to head to the Elven Quarter.
The game’s main quest will eventually lead you here, but you might also chance upon it while exploring.
It’s a beautiful area once inhabited by the elves who have since abandoned it.
You’ll find a number of dark trees here that you can cut down with your axe.
One of the resources you’ll get is elven wood.
By picking it up, you can unlock the workbench recipe.
How To Make the Workbench in Return to Moria
With the recipe unlocked, it’s now time to make the workbench.
You’ll need 15 elven wood and 2 iron ingots to craft the workbench.

Once you have those items either in your inventory or nearby, you can build the workbench and set it down.
Once you set it down, the workbench will unlock a number of new crafting recipes.

These recipes include:
- Ink Grinder
- Hunting Bow
- Arrows
- Trapper Hat (if unlocked via repairing a statue)
- Adventurer’s Pack
Access the workbench to craft these items provided you have the required resources.
Whether you want more inventory space with the adventurer’s pack or a new hunting bow, all these items can make surviving in the mines a bit easier.
So, craft a workbench and start enjoying the new items you can make in it.
