Nothing depresses me more than seeing a beautiful base location end up ruined because I had to cut down the trees in the area.
One of the ways to avoid that is to build the woodcutter’s hut as quickly as possible.
In this survival guide, we’ll show you how to build the woodcutter’s hut in Sengoku Dynasty.
To see the build for yourself, and how to assign workers, be sure to watch the video below!
How To Build the Woodcutter’s Hut
Building the woodcutter’s hut in Sengoku Dynasty has five stages.
The total resources you’ll need for the entire build includes:
- 13 Logs (Any Type)
- 36 Planks (Any Type)
- 13 Sticks
- 4 Stones
It’s a pretty easy build and doesn’t require too many resources.

It’s a great beginner production building to have, so you can start collecting logs, planks, and such without having to destroy the natural beauty around you.
Here’s a breakdown of the build phase by phase:
- Foundation:
- 8 Logs (Any Type)
- Floor:
- 8 Planks (Any Type)
- Exterior:

The woodcutter’s hut is one of few production buildings that has mandatory furniture in it.
This part of the build shows up after you’ve completed building the hut as a whole.
Now that the hut is ready for use, it’s time to assign workers to it.
How To Assign Workers to the Woodcutter’s Hut in Sengoku Dynasty
When you open up the Dynasty menu to assign a worker to the woodcutter’s hut, you’re going to notice there are three positions.
The woodcutter’s hut can actually employ three different workers.
It splits the work into the following categories:
- Woodcutter:
- Produces logs and bamboo
- Carpenter’s Bench:
- Produces planks, sticks, and debarked logs
- Woodworking Table:
- Produces buckets, tools, and other crafted goods
If you just want someone to supply you with logs, then you’ll want to assign a worker to the woodcutter’s job in the Jobs section of the Dynasty menu.

You’ll see an area at the top where you can click to assign a worker.
The person you choose will then produce or collect those resources during the change of the season.
How To Assign Production in the Woodcutter’s Hut in Sengoku Dynasty
With a worker assigned to the appropriate job within the woodcutter’s hut, it’s time to set up production.
There are three steps to assign production.
The first is to choose what you want the worker to produce.
For producing logs, as an example, this means choosing which type of log you want them to collect.
You’re able to choose four different production lines that they’ll complete during the change of the season.

You can have them go ham on one resource, and thus receive a lot of it, or split their production up into different resources so you have a wide spread of them.
The second step is to choose how much of the product you want them to produce.
You can hit the max button, and they’ll make the maximum amount that they can.
You can also click the arrows to the left or right to bring the production amount up or down.
The final step is to provide them with the appropriate tool they need to do their job.
If you’re having someone cut down trees to produce logs, then they’re going to need an axe.
You can put the tool in the appropriate storage building.
That’s usually the general storage building.
They’ll need one tool for each production line.

So, if you have them producing logs for all four selections, then that means they’re going to need four axes.
The good news is that they won’t use up the axe in one go.
The durability will go down over time though, so you’ll need to replace the tools eventually.
The quality of tool also matters.
Low-quality tools, like stone tools, will only have 50% effectiveness.
Higher-quality tools, like iron tools, will have a higher effectiveness.
Since this impacts how many items your workers are able to produce, it may be worth investing in high-tier tools as soon as you can.
With the tools in the storage, you then have to go back into the jobs menu and assign the tool to each production line.
Your worker should have everything they need at this point to produce those goods for you at the change of the season.
