A shield is your best friend when surviving the dangers in The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria.
Unfortunately, shields break once their durability reaches zero, but there’s one shield you can craft that will never become destroyed.
In this survival guide, we’ll show you how to make Shieldwall in Return to Moria.
To see how the shield works for yourself, be sure to watch the video below.
How To Unlock Shieldwall in Return to Moria
To unlock the Shieldwall shield in Return to Moria, you’ll need to repair the Great Forge of Narvi.
It’s a simple enough process in which you replace the broken parts of the forge with new ones.
You’ll need to survive a horde that spawns afterward, but once you either die or defeat the horde, you’ll be able to use the forge.
Repairing the forge also unlocks a number of recipes.
One of them is the Shieldwall shield.
How To Craft the Shieldwall Shield in Return to Moria
You’ll need to craft the shield in the Great Forge of Narvi that you just repaired.
Since the shield is a Masterwork item, you’ll need a few expensive resources to make it.

Those resources included:
- 6 Bronze Ingots
- 6 Steel Ingots
- 3 Hide
- 8 Elven Wood
With those items in your inventory, head to the forge, and you should be able to craft the shield.
What Does the Shieldwall Shield Do in Return to Moria
The Shieldwall is a Masterwork shield.
It’s Tier II and causes bludgeoning damage when you push back an enemy with it.
Aside from bashing enemies to the ground, it also doesn’t take any damage.
You’re able to defend yourself with it forever.
As long as no one gets behind you or forces you to drop the shield, you can hold it in place and stay protected forever.
That makes it an ideal shield for withstanding hordes or taking on early-game bosses.
Keep in mind that because it is a Masterwork item, you can only carry one Masterwork item at a time.
If you have another Masterwork item with you, then you’ll drop it upon equipping the shield.
