Chopping wood and collecting stone can be a real chore when you first jump into Palworld.
Thankfully, the devs knew what a slog the process would be and offered up a unique way to automate the process.
In this survival guide, we’ll show you how to automate wood and stone production in Palworld.
The Quick Menu
Take a look at the materials and things you’ll need to automate your wood and stone production in Palworld.

How To Unlock the Logging Site and Stone Pit in Palworld

The logging site and stone pit will completely change Palworld for you.
The bad news is that you have to wait until you’re level seven to access both of these crafting stations.
I’d suggest catching Pals until you reach level before doing any major building.
Having both these production buildings active will make any building projects you have in mind so much easier.
Once you hit level seven, unlock both the Logging Site and the Stone Pit.
How To Build the Logging Site and Stone Pit in Palworld

Both the logging site and stone pit require the same type of resources, but they have different quantity requirements for some of those resources.
For example, to build the logging site, you’ll need the following resources:
- 50 Wood
- 20 Stone
- 10 Paldium Fragments
To build the stone pit, you’ll need the following resources:
- 50 Stone
- 20 Wood
- 10 Paldium Fragments
So, basically, the stone and wood requirements are switched for either production building.
It takes a bit of time to build these structures, so it’s a good idea to have a Pal or two out who can help you build it.
Once they’re built, it’s time to find the Pals who can automate the production process for you.
Which Pals You Should Use for the Logging Site and Stone Pit in Palworld

To get the most out of the logging site and stone pit, you’re going to need the right Pals.
For the logging site, you’re looking for a Pal that has the Lumbering work skill at tier 1 or higher.
I prefer to use the Eithydeer, but since they’re not the easiest Pal to catch early in the game, you might want to get a Tanzee instead.
As for the stone pit, you’ll need a pal that has tier 1 mining or better.
The Rushoar is a great Pal for this purpose since all it does is mine.
They’re also relatively easy to capture early on, so you can have your stone needs met immediately.
The final Pal I’d recommend capturing is a starter transporter like Lamball.
It will carry the stone and wood from the production buildings to your chests.
With those three Pals alone, you can set up a successful wood and stone production line that will keep your supply stuffed to the brim.
You’ll never have to worry about having enough wood or stone again.
