One of the first mini-bosses you’ll encounter in Palworld is Chillet.
It may only be level 11, but if you don’t come prepared, it can quickly kill you and your Pals.
In this survival guide, we’ll give you tips and strategies you can use to defeat Chillet in Palworld.
What Type is Chillet in Palworld

Chillet is an ice/dragon type of Pal.
This means that it has ice and dragon attacks that it can use during the fight.
Since it’s a double type, that also means you have two choices for stacking your party.
Ice types are weak to fire types while dragon types are weak to ice types.
You could do a mix of fire and ice types to have your bases covered.
I ran with just a party of fire types, and they performed very well.
If you have an ice type that can potentially freeze Chillet, then it might be useful, too.
However, because Chillet is also an ice type, you might find some cold attacks to be less effective.
For the best party, I’d suggest rolling in with fire types.
Best Equipment to Use for the Chillet Fight in Palworld

If you only bring one piece of equipment with you to the fight, then it needs to be Foxsparks’s harness.
It allows you to use Foxsparks as a flamethrower.
Assuming you’re taking on this battle below level 15, Foxsparks is going to be one of the best fire types to use in the battle.
The flamethrower skill, alone, can take Chillet down a good amount.
To make the harness, you’ll need the following resources:
- 3 Leather
- 5 Flame Organs
- 5 Paldium Fragments
If you don’t mind bringing other equipment, then fire arrows with a fire bow also work well for this particular fight.
Strategies to Defeat Chillet in Palworld

Chillet’s fight is relatively straightforward.
It’s in an open area, so you have plenty of space to dodge.
You’ll want to get comfortable dodging, too, as Chillet tends to focus on players more often than Pals.
The best way to start the fight is with using Foxsparks as a Flamethrower.
Since Chillet is peaceful until attacked, you can get up close and do a good amount of damage with the flamethrower at the start of the fight.
You may even be able to get it half-way down before the skill needs to refresh.
But be mindful as Chillet has some powerful ranged attacks.
Save your stamina for dodging.
Switch out your Pal, too, when their health gets low to ensure they keep firing at Chillet.
Don’t forget your Sphere either.
Once it’s low enough, throw your Sphere for a chance to catch Chillet as a boss.
