There are a number of orcs who have tried to become the new master following the downfall of Sauron.

Warren of the Deep Orcs is one such orc, who you can find in the Lower Deeps.

Best Equipment to Use to Fight Warren of the Deep Orcs

While you can make some new Belegost armor before defeating Warren, I don’t think that’s necessary.

As long as you have Erebor armor, you should have enough armor to defeat him with ease.

The two more important aspects are your weapon and brewskin.

When it comes to weapons, I found that using the First Age sword is more than enough to bring Warren down quickly.

You can use a weapon that you prefer, like the First Age greatsword, but make sure that it’s at least a Tier III weapon.

Tier II weapons will make the fight longer than it needs to be.

The most important aspect is having your brewskin along for the ride.

Fill the brewskin with Scour Pilsner.

Warren and the orcs he calls to the fight can deliver poison damage.

Poison damage ignores your armor and will attack your health directly.

Drink Scour Pilsner before the fight to ensure you’re immune to poison damage.

Strategies for Defeating Warren of the Deep Orcs

Warren is a pretty easy boss to fight provided you have at least Erebor armor, Tier III weapons, and have drank Scour Pilsner.

I recommend taking care of all the orcs in the stronghold first.

Once the area is clear, then you can rest, repair your armor and weapons, and then take the fight to Warren the next day.

Just before you enter the boss arena, drink up your Scour Pilsner and have some food on hand that can heal you.

Warren will call a bunch of orcs to help him in the fight.

Ignore them as best you can and focus solely on Warren.

He strikes slowly enough that you can get two quick hits in with a sword, then block with Shieldwall or another shield.

As long as you keep up the pace, you’ll be able to hit him every time without him hitting you.

Before you know it, he’ll fall, and his orc allies will scatter.

That will allow you to explore the riches he left behind.

What Rewards Does Warren the Orc Give

After you defeat Warren, don’t run off just yet.

There are two chests waiting for you.

Each one contains items like gemstones, ingots, ores, and coins.

It’s a great way to stock up on black diamonds and silver ingots.

You’ll even get some free Shanor Ingots out of it, which is great since you’re going to need a few of those for future crafting recipes.

Grab your rewards, then head out of the stronghold with Warren firmly defeated.
