What Does the Monitoring Station Do

The monitoring station in Palworld allows you to switch between three different work modes.

The first is normal which allows your Pals to work at their preferred pace.

They’ll eat at a normal rate, too, and their sanity will drop slowly.

This is the default work speed, and it’s the speed your Pals prefer to work at.

Now, the next mode is Hard Working.

This increases the work speed and movement speed of your Pals.

It allows them to work faster and move around faster, which makes them more productive.

The downside is that their hunger and sanity also drops faster.

You can expect a few medical conditions to occur to your Pals.

The final mode is Super Hard Working, which pushes your Pal to the extreme.

It’s the cruelest work mode and makes your Pals very unhappy.

They’ll be able to produce a lot of things in that time, but you can also expect them to be hungry faster and to lose their sanity even faster.

How Do You Make the Monitoring Stand in Palworld

You’ll need to reach level 15 to unlock the monitoring stand blueprint.

To fully unlock it, you’ll need to spend 2 tech points.

To build it, you’ll find it in the Pal section of your build menu.

It requires the following resources:

  • 30 Wood
  • 10 Stone

It takes about 25 seconds to make, but if you can have some Pals help, it will build even faster.

Should You Use the Monitoring Stand in Palworld

Now, it’s time to get into some digital ethics.

Technically, the Pals are nothing but pixels on your screen.

They don’t have feelings.

So, if you want to have the most productive group of Pals ever, then you can use the Super Hard Working mode to push them past their limits.

But if you’re like me, it’s difficult not to emotionally bond with your Pals.

Even the mere thought of them being upset is too much.

In that case, keep them on their normal work load.

They’ll still get the work done, you’ll just need to wait a bit longer.

Patience is something more people need to practice, anyway.

If you’re hellbent on pushing your Pals, however, then you’ll want to make sure you’re prepared for the consequences.

Since they’ll be eating more, you’ll need to ensure you have enough food to support them.

Their sanity will also drop faster, so they’re likely going to take more breaks.

Have more Pals ready to switch them out with to ensure your productivity continues.

You’ll also see more medical conditions like Depressed or Fractured.

You can learn more about curing medical conditions with our medical condition guide here.

Otherwise, make a lot of medicine and be ready to administer them as soon as a Pal falls ill.

The monitoring stand can make your Pals more productive, but it definitely comes at a cost.
