1. Best Beginner Glider – Celeray/Killamari

There are two Pals that work well as beginner gliders.

Both the Celeray and Killamari Pals are early-game Pals that you can find pretty easily.

They’re relatively easy to take down and do more or less the same thing.

To glide with these mounts, you’ll need gloves.

Celeray has slightly less expensive crafting requires for the gloves.

If you want to make them, you’ll need the following resources:

• 5 Cloth
• 3 Pal Fluids
• 5 Paldium Fragments

Killamari is a bit more expensive, so if you’re low on resources, you may want to opt for Celeray.

To craft Killamari gloves, you’ll need the following resources:

• 5 Cloth
• 5 Venom Glands
• 10 Paldium Fragments

Both Celeray and Killamari fly at about the same rate, so they’re almost indistinguishable from each other.

Choose the one that best complements your Pal party.

2. Best Long-Distance Glider – Hangyu

Hangyu is a bit creepy looking, but he makes for a great long-distance glider.

He’s able to propel himself up for a long distance, so it will be a long time before you come down.

He isn’t that fast, however, so you’ll need a lot of stamina to glide him all the way down.

To use him as a glider, you’ll need Hangyu’s gloves.

To craft them, you’ll need the following resources:

• 5 Cloth
• 3 Leather
• 10 Fiber
• 3 Ingots
• 10 Paldium Fragments

Hangyu is an ideal Pal for those long-distance glides between islands.

3. Best for Speed – Galeclaw

At first look, you might think that Galeclaw is another flying mount.

It’s actually a glider.

And it’s a fast glider to boot.

Galeclaw is a great glider for those who want to cross distances quickly.

He may not get as far as Hangyu, but he can get you somewhere faster.

I like to use him for standard glider needs.

If you want to use him, too, you’ll need Galeclaw gloves.

To make them, you’ll need the following resources:

• 20 Cloth
• 20 Leather
• 30 Fiber
• 30 Paldium Fragments
