Ore is going to be a crucial resource moving forward in Palworld.

Ensuring your base has the right items and Pals can make mining ore so much better.

In this survival guide, we’ll show you how to set up a base for mining ore in Palworld.

1. Choose Your Base Location

Choosing your base location is one of the most important steps.

If you’re on a private server or a small server with friends, you have a lot of options.

If you’re playing on a large multiplayer server, then the best spots may already be taken.

Either way, you may need to scout to find the best ore location for your base.

The Desolate Church area tends to be a popular choice.

There are others out there, too, with lots of nodes and scenic views.

2. Set Up Your Base

Once you’ve decided on where you want your base to be, you’ll need to keep a few things in mind.

First, make sure that the nodes are within the Palbox radius.

If they’re outside the radius, then Pals won’t harvest the ore.

They can’t reach it.

Secondly, it’s a good idea to have a box next to the Palbox.

This allows your Pals to move the ore to the box, and you can quickly grab it all, then fast travel away without having to cross a great distance.

If you’re just using the base for ore, make sure the Pals also have everything they need to be happy.

It’s a good idea to limit how much production goes on here since it’s supposed to be an ore base.

For example, if you build the stone pit, then you can bet your Pals are going to be splitting their attention between it and the nodes.

Just have Pals there to mine and keep other productions extremely limited.

3. Best Pals for Your Mining Base

When it comes to mining ore, Level 1 Miners will not do.

They can’t mine ore.

Or, at the very least, they won’t mine it efficiently.

You need Level 2 miners and above.

Take a look at the table below to see which miners can help you gather ore.

Level 2 Miners:Dumas
Penking
Tombat
Mammorest
Quivern
Paladius
Level 3 Miners:Digtoise
Reptyro
Menasting
Anubis
Level 4 Miners:Blazemut, Astegon

I recommend Digtoise to start out.

It has a great spin attack that quickly takes down ore.

When you’ve reached the endgame, then you might want to try for Astegon and bring him in.

Digtoise can take care of most of your mining problems, however.

For those who are just starting out, Dumas and Tombat can get you by, too.

They won’t be amazing, but they will collect some ore.

You’ll also want to consider having a Pal or two who’s great at transporting.

They’ll take all the ore your Pals are dropping and put it in storage.

I love Anubis for this since he’s fast, but any Pal will transport will do.

With all these factors in place, you’ll have an efficient ore base in no time.
