To unlock the crafting recipe for Khazad steel ingots, you’ll need to make the Ufuhan furnace.

It’s an expensive item to make, but since you’ll need it anyway to smelt Khazad steel ingots, it’s a useful crafting station to make.

As soon as you put it down somewhere in your base, the recipe for Khazad steel ingots will drop.

How To Craft Khazad Steel Ingots

As mentioned before, you’ll need to make Khazad steel ingots in the Ufuhan furnace.

The standard furnace isn’t able to reach the right heat levels to make this particular type of ingot.

You’ll also need the following resources:

  • 6 Gold Ore
  • 3 Iron Ore

Khazad steel ingots use an alloy of gold and iron.

The good news is that you can find plenty of gold ore in the Dwarrowdelf region of Moria.

You can also find iron ore in Dwarrowdelf.

Once you have enough of both types of ore, activate the furnace and smelt your ingots.

When you pick up a Khazad steel ingot for the first time, two recipes unlock.

The first is the stove, which is an even better cooking station.

The second is the Khazad steel ingot pallet, which you can use to store all your ingots.

Aside from unlocking recipes, the Khazad steel ingot is also useful for making new items, crafting stations, and armor.
