Since the Kintsugi update, building and running your village in Sengoku Dynasty is very different.
All production begins with the workshop, so let’s revisit it and see what’s changed.
In this survival guide, we’ll show you how to build the workshop in Sengoku Dynasty and what it does.

How To Unlock the Workshop in Sengoku Dynasty
There are two possible ways to unlock the workshop in Sengoku Dynasty.
The first is to reach Dynasty Level 3.
You increase Dynasty levels by recruiting villagers to your village.
You can also unlock the workshop by building a small house.
Since you’ll need a house for yourself to sleep in, it’s not a bad idea to do that instead of inviting a few villagers to your village.
Building a small house will just be a bit faster, especially if you’re starting fresh.
After you build a small house, the workshop will unlock and become available for building.
How To Build the Workshop in Sengoku Dynasty
The workshop is one of the first buildings you can unlock in Sengoku Dynasty, so it doesn’t require too many resources.
Check out the breakdown below for all the steps in the building process:
- Foundation:
- 4 Logs
- Floor:
- 4 Logs
- Exterior:
- 76 Sticks
- Roof:
- 14 Grass
- 6 Sticks
- 2 Logs
- Furniture:
- 7 Sticks
- 4 Logs
- 16 Grass
Once you build it all with your hammer, you’ll be able to assign someone to the warehouse.
The great thing about it is that it also comes with a bed.
So, even if you don’t have a house ready for a villager, you can assign them to sleep in the workshop.
That’ll buy you some time to build them a proper home while they work for you.
How To Assign a Worker to the Workshop in Sengoku Dynasty
The workshop is responsible for making stone and iron tools.
You can make a few additional items at the workshop, too, like buckets and fertilizer buckets, but it doesn’t seem that workers can make those items just yet.
You’ll need to make those specific items yourself.
Otherwise, you can assign workers to a certain task, to make certain items, and then ensure they have the appropriate tool to make those items.
For example, some might need a hammer or adze to create certain things.
Put the tool they need in general store, and then assign in the jobs tab.
Don’t forget to tell the worker how many of the items you want.
