There are big bosses in Return to Moria that require a lot of preparation.

And then there’s the warchiefs.

In this survival guide, we’ll show you how to defeat the Red Eye Orc Warchief in Return to Moria.

The Red Eye orcs inhabit the Upper City of Dwarrowdelf.

You’ll typically find the warchief’s stronghold by exploring the left-handed side of the city when you first enter it.

There’s a tunnel on the left side that leads to a few sections, and then finally, the stronghold itself.

It’s pretty easy to find compared to some other bosses.

The warchief isn’t a difficult boss compared to others in the game.

As long as you have Belegost armor, Khazad weapons, and a shield, you’ll be fine.

I also drank some Ironheart Stout and honored a Crystal Statue for the Hero-Spirit buff.

My weapon of choice is the Khazad Maul, and it did the job well, so I’d recommend that or another Khazad weapon.

Strategy for Fighting the Red Eye Orc Warchief

Fighting the boss is relatively easy.

You just need to rush in and attack with your weapon as quickly as possible.

He does have a kick attack, however, that can push you back into his friends.

Block his attacks, but otherwise go ham on him.

He isn’t that tough, so you should be able to defeat him without breaking Shieldwall or eating through your armor.

Once he dies, his friends should flee, allowing you to collect the rewards.

There are three reward areas after you defeat the warchief, so make sure you don’t miss them.

The first is from defeating the warchief, himself.

He’ll drop a number of items like coins, black diamonds, other gems, and even ironwood.

Then there are two chests at the center of the arena.

They don’t require keys, so you can access them directly.

Both contain black diamonds, coins, gemstones, and Khazad steel ingots.

Take your riches and get ready for the next boss fight, because it won’t be long after this one.
